The quiet case for an all-HIPS set of this size is storage, or rather the absence of it. Eight timber chairs and a table need a garage bay, two people and an October afternoon; this set needs nothing. HIPS resists UV, rust, rain and freeze-thaw without sealing or repainting, so the whole thing stays where it is and the only seasonal task is a rinse when the pollen drops. The wood-grain finish carries the look that timber would have given you without the calendar that comes with it.

How it lives in the room

Leave it out, properly

Staying outside does not mean sitting in a puddle. Give the table somewhere with drainage under it and the set will look the same in year three; standing water and trapped leaves are what stain moulded surfaces, not weather.

Snow and wind

Snow load is not a problem — brush it off and carry on. Wind is: empty plastic chairs travel. In an exposed yard, stack or strap the chairs when a storm is forecast.

Spring reset

Wood-tone HIPS and real cedar age in opposite directions — the timber greys, the moulding does not. If your deck is untreated wood, expect the contrast to grow rather than shrink.
