The charging ports here are rated 5V and 2A each, which is 10 watts. That is a phone charging overnight at a sensible rate. It is not a tablet charging while in use, and it is nowhere near a laptop. Headboard charging is genuinely useful for the thing it is for, and the disappointment comes from assuming a bedside port behaves like the brick that came with a larger device. Keep the fast charger for the desk and use the headboard for phones and earbuds.

How it lives in the room

Ten watts charges a phone, not a tablet

Work out what gets plugged in beside the bed. A phone and a pair of earbuds overnight is exactly the job. A tablet being used while charging will hold level or lose ground, and a laptop will not respond at all. None of that is a fault in the bed; it is what a 5V 2A port does, and knowing it saves blaming the frame.

Three headboard heights, four inches apart

The panel sets at 38.8, 40.7 or 42.7 inches, a span of just under four inches from lowest to highest. That range exists to keep the padded surface above the mattress line whatever the mattress depth. Fit the mattress, sit on the bed, then set the height so the upholstery starts behind the small of a back.

Six point three inches rules out bins

The under-bed height is 6.3 inches and the three fabric drawers are built to it. Standard clip-lid storage boxes stand 9 inches or more, so they will not go under this frame at all. Flat zip bags for bedding will, and the drawers handle the rest. Measure the boxes already in the closet before counting on the space.

Before you order

The power cord is 5 FT. From the head of a queen that reaches a wall outlet behind or just beside the bed and no further. Check where the outlet actually is before assembly, because an extension cord under a bed defeats the point of headboard charging.
