How it lives in the room

Level eight feet square, both diagonals

The floor panels lock into the wall channels, so the base has to be flat and genuinely square. Measure corner to corner both ways and make the two figures match before anything is unpacked. Out-of-true bases are why doors on resin sheds stop latching after a month.

Hang the walls, not the floor

Four hundred cubic feet fills fast if everything sits on the ground. Bikes, tools and the hose go on the wall panels, the mower takes the middle, and the floor stays walkable. Deciding which wall carries what before the panels go up saves working round a full shed later.

Keep the top vent clear

The vent in the roof is what stops fuel smell and damp settling in a sealed plastic box. Do not stack boxes against it, and leave an inch of air behind anything tall at that end, because a blocked vent in an 8 by 8 shed is noticeable the moment you open the door.
