The feature list calls this a TV stand, and 31.5 inches is the number that decides whether it works as one. Set a 55-inch screen on that top and the middle of the picture lands somewhere near 45 inches, which is a little above seated eye level on most sofas: watchable, but angled up. Lower the seating, or accept the tilt. The same height is unremarkable as a bedroom dresser, where a top at hip-to-waist level is exactly where folding is comfortable.

How it lives in the room

Sit down before placing a screen

Sit on the sofa that faces this wall and have someone hold a tape at the height your eyes land. Compare that to 31.5 inches plus half the height of the screen. If the gap is more than a few inches, the picture is above the line and a wall mount is the better answer.
