The upgrade from the six-foot version is not only height. This one comes in a nine-inch planter rather than a seven, and that two-inch difference is doing real work: proportionally, a tall tree in a narrow pot looks unstable to the eye even when it is not, while the wider base reads as planted. Twisted trunks, silk foliage in varied greens, dried moss on the surface and a cement fill underneath, with wires in the branches for shaping.

How it lives in the room

Give it the height it needs

Seven feet wants nine-foot ceilings or better. In a standard room, look at the six-foot version instead rather than accepting a canopy pressed against the plaster.

Work in stages over a week

A tree this big does not get shaped in one session. Open it roughly, live with it a few days, then adjust — the things that look wrong become obvious only after you have walked past them a dozen times.

Plan the cleaning access

At seven feet the top of the canopy needs a stool. Somewhere you can reach with a step, not somewhere behind a sofa that has to be moved, makes the difference between dusting it twice a year and never.

Before you order

A nine-inch pot needs a correspondingly larger cachepot if you want to hide it — look for eleven inches or more of internal diameter, which is a size worth confirming before ordering.
