Cement poured into a plastic pot sounds like a detail and is actually the reason this one stays upright. A hard PP shell on its own weighs almost nothing, so a six-foot tree with a wire-cored canopy would go over the first time a dog cornered too fast; the cement fill puts the mass under the trunk where it belongs. Above the pebble layer the leaves are rubber fabric with moulded veins rather than printed silk, which is what holds a slight curl instead of hanging flat.

How it lives in the room

Rubber fabric reads at arm's length

Thin silk foliage is convincing from across a room and gives itself away the moment somebody sits beside it. The rubber-fabric leaf here has veins pressed into the surface and enough stiffness to hold its own angle, so the close-range view holds up. That matters mainly for placement: this one can go next to a chair rather than being banished to a far corner.

Pair them across a wide wall

A single six-foot tree on a twelve-foot wall looks like it is waiting for something. Two of the same height at either end of that wall reads as deliberate, and six feet is low enough that a pair does not close the room in. Shape both at the same time if you go that way, with the branch positions reversed rather than copied, and keep the pots in line with the furniture below.

Bend the branches once, then stop

Wire inside each branch will take a bend and hold it, but repeated reworking fatigues the core and eventually a branch stays where gravity puts it rather than where it was set. Decide the silhouette in one session, working from the lowest branches upward, then leave the structure alone and make later adjustments by turning individual leaves on their stems.

Before you order

The pebbles sit loose on the surface, so the pot cannot be tipped or dragged without losing some of them. Waterproof leaves also mean a porch is viable, though only a covered one: nothing in the specification covers frost or standing water.
