How it lives in the room

Check your machine against the five

Measure the tallest point of your vacuum, including any spinning lidar tower. If it comes to more than four and a half inches, the clearance is theoretical for you and the space becomes flat storage instead.

Keep the perimeter clear

A robot needs a run-in as well as a headroom. Leave the last few inches beside each leg free of shoes and cables or it will bump, retreat and mark the space as blocked.

Twenty-eight slats mean no board

Closely spaced slats support foam properly without a bunkie board. Adding a solid board on top traps moisture against the mattress underside — the thing the open base is designed to prevent.

Assembly is quoted at sixty minutes with pre-drilled holes and a video guide. Realistically that is an hour for someone who has built furniture before and ninety minutes for someone who has not. Either way it is a two-person job at the point where the headboard meets the rails.
