This is a cabinet heater rather than a mushroom: it warms by radiant heat at seated level, which is where the cold actually is. Three settings from 6,000 up to 18,000 BTU cover an area of about 450 square feet, it runs from a standard 20 lb cylinder with no electricity at all, and it moves on five casters, two of them braked. Under 30 dB means conversation carries over it, which is not true of most outdoor heaters.

How it lives in the room

Point it at people, not at space

Radiant heat works in a line. Aimed across a seating group at chest height it feels twice as effective as the same heater pointed at the middle of a patio.

Brake it before you light it

Two of the five casters lock. Use them — tip-over protection is a backstop, not a substitute for a heater that stays put.

Then use it indoors carefully or not at all

Well-ventilated garages and workshops only, never a closed room. The low-oxygen sensor exists because that rule gets broken.

Before you order

The 20 lb cylinder is not included, and the running time depends entirely on the setting: a full bottle lasts several evenings at 6,000 BTU and considerably fewer at 18,000.
