Measure the appliance first

The bay is generous but finite. Check your cooler or machine against 37.4 x 19.6 x 19.6 inches including the plug clearance at the back before you plan around it.

Split the two sides

Bottles and mixers on one side, cups and dry goods on the other. Three tiers per cabinet is enough to keep those two worlds apart, which is what stops a bar cabinet becoming a junk cupboard.

Sliding doors change the habit
