The listing points this one at RVs and boats, which makes height the question the footprint does not answer. Ten feet of width takes a trailer comfortably, but a shelter with a curved or peaked tarp roof loses headroom fast towards the sides, so the usable height is at the centre line and nowhere else. Measure the vehicle at its tallest point, including a roof vent or an aerial, and plan to drive it in down the middle rather than parked over to one side.

How it lives in the room

Measure the RV to its highest point

Aerials, vents and an air conditioner shroud all add inches, and the clearance under a tarp roof is at the peak only. Check the figure against the frame height before ordering, and remember that driving in slightly off centre loses you several more inches at the shoulder.

White tarp, cooler load

A pale cover reflects more sun than a dark one, which matters for a boat with gel coat or an RV with rubber seals sitting under it all summer. It also makes the space under the frame bright enough to work in without a light on a clear day.

Sidewalls off for a long vehicle

The walls unclip, and for a boat on a trailer that is often the right answer: an open frame lets you walk the length of the hull instead of squeezing between a wall and a gunwale. Fit them back for winter when the weather is the thing being kept out.

Before you order

Not recommended for snowy conditions. Reinforced frames and eight legs answer wind, not weight on the roof, so a loaded tarp is still the failure point and the cover should come off before the first heavy fall.
