Tank heaters give you six gallons and then a cold shower. A tankless unit heats as it flows, which on an RV means the second person gets the same water as the first. This one runs at 55,000 BTU on 12 V, controls between 95 and 123 degrees from an LCD panel inside, and carries CSA certification with a stack of safety systems — forced exhaust, flame stabilisation, dry-burn protection, automatic gas shut-off and freeze prevention.

How it lives in the room

Measure the cut-out, not the door

The opening is 13 by 13 inches; the door that covers it is 15 by 15. Those are two different numbers and only one of them has to fit your wall.

Have it fitted properly

Gas and 12 V into a vehicle is a job for someone who does it regularly. The certification protects you only if the installation matches it.

Then use the outside tap

The front outlet is the feature owners talk about afterwards — warm water for the dog, the boots and the dishes without anyone tracking through the van.

Before you order

Step-burning adjusts output with the seasons, which saves propane in summer. It also means the shower feels different in January and July at the same setting — that is the control working, not a fault.
